- Congratulations to Drs. Rao and Dai on the Matching Fund Award from Temple University. Their project Fabrication and Charge Transfer Mechanisms of 2D Layered and 3D HalidePerovskites: Optoelectronic and Solar Photovoltaic Materials collaborating with Drs. Bradford Wayland, and Graham Dobereiner has been selected for Matching Funding through the Office of the Vice President for Research Administration (OVPR). This is one of the awarded projects Dr. Yi Rao is leading. The award period is from July 1st, 2015 to June 30th, 2017.

This is the first publication from the Organic Perovskite Group led by Dr. Rao, in collaboration with Drs. Wayland and Dobereiner.

- Michael's manuscript in ACS Chemical Biology was highlighted in C&E News, A new spin on the old Gram stain.
- Hai-Lung and Yi were awarded a grant by the Army Research Office in "Research Area 7.4 Reactive Chemical Systems - Enhancing Interfacial Charge Carrier Injection in Semiconductor Nanostructures". The program period is from January 2015 to December 2017.
- Michael's manuscript, Gram’s stain does not cross the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane, was accepted for publication in ACS Chemical Biology.
- Michael's abstract has been accepted for the upcoming 89th ACS Colloid and Surface Science Symposium in Pittsburgh, PA this summer (June 15-17, 2015).
